I gotta be honest, every once and a while I come across a simply amazing anime artist (*coughs* *coughs*), but seriously, the anime and manga section has to have the worst crap I've ever seen. I understand that like 97% of them are 12 years old but seriously, KDFKDJFEUR. I hate it so much. (Like wtf, have some of them like, never seen a person in their entire lives?... That section has some good days... But... No.)

Let me say something (not like you can stop me, unless you felt this rant bubbling up all day). Anime artists in Japan have been doing it waaaay better than anyone in America can, and ya know what? Most of them ink their art BY HAND. Now that's where my peeves come in. If you're going to attempt the style the Japanese people invented it, and you're going to do it digitally instead of with ink, why is it worse? Or even worse, why DO YOU DRAW ON LINED PAPER?!! You traced it anyways! The least you could do is trace it onto printer paper DDDDDDD=

I mean come on, we have completely destroyed an art form. Japanese people have been doing manga since before we had Manga Studio 4 and Adobe Photoshop CS4, and they do it better! They spend the time to ink and sometimes even tone it all by hand (some manga-ka even create their own tones), they are amazing at interesting shots, filling up pages well, and putting so much into just a few pages, and the 12 year olds of our nation destroy it by drawing with a chewed up crayon on lined paper. ARGH! I don't know how much more I can take... (I'm not trying to insult anyone who is watching me, I'm just sick of seeing pencil drawings called 'manga' or 'anime' style. Anime is digital, manga is lined and toned. Ssrly, can we try a little harder people? It's called buy an HB pencil and some Higgins Ink, you never know the wonders.)

Also, if you're looking to go into some sort of career that even has a tiny bit of art in it, well, when you apply for jobs, people DO NOT want to see art in your portfolio. I'm sorry, but seriously, it's the truth.
